Moonwalking theough the heartland.

While Jim Hansen confessed at the LSE last week that climate publicity is suffering from generation creep as sensitivity estimates waver, a reliable non MSM source  in Lebanon, Ohio, reports Apollo 11 mission commander  Neil Armstrong is now convinced that his historic first step on the moon was part of an elaborate hoax orchestrated by the United States government.

Armstrong is reportedly reconsidering his First Man On The Moon status after watching an exceptionally persuasive YouTube video, examining strips of paper said to be shredded NASA Lunagate e-mails, and reading several blog posts on WUWT and What Moon Landing? theorist Ralph Coleman's OmissionControl .website.

"It only took a few hastily written paragraphs published by this passionate denier of mankind's so-called 'greatest technological achievement' for me to realize I had been living a lie, "  a visibly tired and emotional Armstrong, told reporters at his home. "It has become painfully clear to me that on July 20, 1969, the Lunar Module did not in fact travel 250,000 miles over eight days, touch down on the moon, and perform various experiments, ushering in a new era for humanity."  adding that " The only logical interpretation of the numerous inconsistencies in the grainy, edited, 40-year-old footage is that nitrous oxide was pumped into the command module, and we were taken to a soundstage in New Mexico., where persuasive special effects hoodwinked us into acting out the moonwalk."

Harrison Schmidt  declined comment.
